ELICOS/CRICOS Registration - a two step process - CRICOS requirements are met during the application and audit processes
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the Australian Government national regulator for ELICOS schools. To set up an ELICOS school, you need to have your CRICOS application approved by ASQA and then meet all the CRICOS registration requirements at audit.
What is CRICOS?
CRICOS, the Commonwealth Register for Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students, is the register of education providers that teach international students.
What do I need to provide to be approved as an ELICOS school?
To be successfully registered as an ELICOS provider, you will need a CRICOS consultant familiar with ELICOS registration. Your consultant will help you to:
Submit curriculum documents, including assessments
Provide academic staff details
Develop suitable policies and procedures
Have a resource library
Submit evidence that your organisation will be financially viable
Submit evidence that your organisation’s chief executives meet Fit and Proper Person Requirements
Meet all legislative and compliance requirements
Have a suitable intended operating location
Choose an SMS (Student Management System)
Pay the required ASQA application fees
